A toolkit of information to equip and educate you (and your birth team) on what labor can look like, what is experienced in the body, mind, and spirit during labor, birth, and immediate postpartum, and what techniques and comfort measures can be utilized. Alisha’s physiologic approach, education, and experience in hospitals and homes as a doula and student midwife can help you detail your birth plan, discover options and goals for your birth, and set yourself up for success.
This FREE natural birth workshop covers the labor blueprint, hormones in labor, watching birth videos and commentary, discovering what could disturb bonding, breastfeeding, and birth, and practicing some labor coping ideas. I hope to educate and empower you with your upcoming pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and parenting journey.
This will be taught by Alisha Stoltzfus, The Birth Servant (https://www.thebirthservant.com/ ) with Indie Birth’s labor blueprint outline and materials (https://indiebirth.org/ ). I have been in birth work since September 2017, and have personal experience giving birth in a hospital with an OBGYN and in a birth center with a midwife. Currently, I am a student midwife for home births, a birth and postpartum doula for hospital and home births, and encapsulate placentas. I come with a wide-range of experience, observations, and knowledge to support you making educated, informed decisions.
Stay an extra hour to watch a new birth documentary: These Are My Hours (https://thesearemyhours.com/ ). I will provide yummy drinks and snacks!
The location is in the basement space at Arise Church, 1604 Selmser Ave, Cloquet, MN down Selmser Ave by the Cloquet Public Library.

Margo from Duluth Midwife will facilitate conversations around detailed birth planning (not your average birth plan!), and will help you get clear on your expectations and desires. We will also practice labor coping techniques and labor and birth movements as well, and you are highly encouraged to bring your birth support team.
Free, but register for your spot here - https://duluthmidwife.as.me/advancedworkshop
I will not be doing any workshops, but am advertising this event here anyways! I will be there as a vendor and am excited to meet you! See me there as The Birth Servant selling some new herbal products (herbal sitz bath and teas), and there for educational discussions.
