Pregnancy, Birth, & Postpartum Comprehensive Care:
Midwife Base Package
In-depth perinatal education and care from a holistic, body-soul-spirit perspective and access to a curated well of resources.
24/7 availability for questions or concerns from start of care up to 6 weeks postpartum (please follow communication guidelines as described in the letter of agreement).
Prenatal appointments (once every 4-6 weeks from 8-28 weeks, every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks, and weekly from 36 weeks, and twice weekly after 41 weeks).
Prenatal supplies (blood typing, urinalysis, hemoglobin checks, glucometer kit, etc.).
Being on call for your birth starting at 36 weeks.
Your birth, which includes when you call until 3-4 hours after birth, for both myself and an assistant.
Water birth - optional use of reusable blow up pool and pump (you provide the hose and liner).
Immediate general physical newborn exam and referrals for further care if needed.
Postpartum and newborn supplies (varies).
Placenta smoothie(s), herbal bath or steam (1 initial), and belly binding services (1 tutorial).
4-6 postpartum visits for you and baby in your home (24 hour, 2/3 day, 1 wk, 2 wk, and 6 wk).
Birth certificate and newborn screen filings (CCHD, hearing, and metabolic blood spot).
Research, time, educational workshops, paperwork filing, etc.
Access to my book library for borrowing, reading, and studying.
Attendance to childbirth educational workshops and events offered within my care team.
Recommendations for herbal products, homeopathic remedies, teas, and supplements as needed.

If you are looking to add more options to your home birth package and costs:
Water birth - renting the Aquadoula heated pool is $100 per use, and additional water birth supplies estimate between $60-80.
Doula - highly recommended and often required for first time mom or first time home birther. Doula costs range from $800-1,500.
Lactation consultant in home - highly recommended and often required for first time mom or first time home birther. Costs range from $250-1,000 depending on needs postpartum.
Body work - highly recommend chiropractor, massage, and craniosacral or myofascial work during your pregnancy and postpartum for you and baby. Cost ranges from $50-135 a session.
Placenta encapsulation - I work closely with a doula in Duluth who can pick up from your home, or I can drop off for cost range of $250-300. My students often do it for a low cost as well.
